The Triada Music Festival was founded in 2006 to aid in advancing young classical musicians'
artistic development. The organization was formed to give young musicians the opportunity to
study with advanced professional teachers from all over the country. The festival will also
give students the opportunity to perform in a variety of settings helping them to develop as
performers. At Triada students will be able to attend performances by some of the most talented
and successful artists of the day. Students will also benefit from the opportunity to play
chamber music and be coached by world class chamber musicians. Learning to work and perform
with other musicians is an integral part of an artist's career, and the faculty of Triada
believes that teaching students the art of performing solo music as well as chamber music
can be an invaluable experience.
Music students can make their most explosive progress during the summer months at festivals and camps. Few experiences match total music immersion for improving technique and performance, moving beyond plateaus, enjoying a boost of motivation and self-confidence, and achieving virtuosity. The great cellist Yo Yo Ma once said that at 15 years old, he discovered his performance style at a summer music festival. |
